David is a folk musician deeply routed in English history, culture and tradition.
A Semi-Finalist at the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Musician awards 2011 (then David Shevelew) led to several summers of playing around the country at festivals and folk clubs.
He supported the likes of Lucy Ward, Clive Gregson, Hanna Martin and Phillip Henry and Ewan Mclennan.
David is now back playing his own mix of traditional songs, contempory lyric and his own deep and thought prevoking songs.
Born and bred in London, it is the history, and that which is being made right now that drives David’s lyrics
