Trinity Orchestra welcomes world-famous opera singer Janice Watson to sing the sublime Four Last Songs by Richard Strauss in their first concert of 2025.

The programme, conducted by Jonathan Butcher, includes Elgar’s In the South (Alassio) – a work full of vibrant orchestral colours – and Ravel’s Pavane pour une infante défunte, with its graceful charm.

The evening culminates in a performance of the powerful and evocative Symphony No. 2 by Borodin.

A dynamic and thrilling work, brimming with Russian folk melodies and bold orchestration, making it a powerful showcase of his masterful compositional style and a must-hear for any lover of orchestral music.
